Reviewing the OnePlus 12 again almost one year later, to see if this is still one of the best Android flagship smartphones as head into 2025. How will it compare vs the OnePlus 13, as well as the biggest phones of 2024 like the Pixel 9 Pro?
Well, even after close to twelve months, the OnePlus 12 is still a fantastic all-round device. In fact, it just got even better with the launch of OxygenOS 15. This improves the old version in many ways, from adding AI smarts to upgrading the animations. So the everyday experience feels impressively smooth and looks even better.
The OnePlus 12 may not offer the best camera setup of any phone in 2024, but it’s still good enough for most situations. It’s only the blurring during action shots that lets it down, while the HDR chops are still hugely impressive.
Performance is still banging too, despite the Snapdragon 8 Elite now being official. You can play games like Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact on the OnePlus 12 with a perfectly smooth frame rate, even if you’re gaming for hours.
As for Battery life, well, this is one of the best phones around for longevity. Here’s hoping the OnePlus 13 is even better with its reported 6000mAh cell!

I would agree, if not for the "GPS location"-Bug in photos. Whenever you are out of range of any WiFi (e.g. on a mountain or on the sea) ever photo is only tagged with the last known WiFi location or cell triangulation, instead of using GPS. Hence, photos are few hundred meters
or even kilometersaway from the real location.This was a dealbreaker for me and forced me to switch to the Pixel 9.

I bought my OnePlus 12 Flowy Emerald (512 GB storage) here in Berlin, Germany, in May this year. It's been a while, and I love the phone. The fast charging is impressive, and the screen is amazing. It's an incredible phone, and I switched from the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.

This phone is complete trash and I'm sick of reviews presenting it as a goody phone. I had it for about 2 weeks and it was awful. Pixel phones are the other trash dumbphones i had for a month. They are so hyped but in real life so bad and buggy!!
I recently switched from an iPhone 13 Pro to a Samsung Galaxy s24. My carrier had a promotion where you could buy it outright for $400. It was very limited time so I figured I wasn't going to find another 50% off deal. Absolutely loving this phone I will never go back to Apple. Although I do want to try some other Android flagships this one looks tempting

I bought mine in June from TradingShenzen. It is a black 1TB version with 16GB RAM. I have it converted into a ROW Global Oxygen OS. One caveat is there is no eSim in this version and I cannot link it to my OnePlus account to get some Red coins. But apart from this it is a belter phone that never failed me. Never had any issues with it, Android Auto works with an Audi and offers superb photo quality as well. I couldn't be happier with it. It delivers consistently 2 days of battery life on one charge!

I actually don't think I'll upgrade to the 13, there's not much reason to. I was on vacation, I got constant positive feedback on the camera, which did NOT happen with my 11, 8T, or 6. Didn't even use my Alpha A6000 most of the time.

Im having a hard time justifying the price difference for better performance, but Im also the type to keep the same phone for 5 years, which is why I was waiting for the Oneplus 13 but I dont know if I am willing to pay the premium for that one.

Very good phone. Got it for 650 eur. New. Certainly best phone ive ever used. And the battery life is exceptional. Very fast, very good camera and that price i cant find anything for more bang for the buck
