Great video! Thank you for the time and effort to do this video. It's amazing that this machine uses both wash arms at the same time. In the US the dishwashers only use one arm at a time to wash each rack as they use so little water. Average run time is over 3 hours for a load of dishes.
Just a heads up that if you live in a home with a water softener like I do, you shouldn’t need to run the dishwasher with rinse aid.
Also we all learned from Sir Technology that the tablets are bad for dishwashers because there’s no way to get detergent for the pre-wash. Gels or powders for me! And a rinse aid addition every once in a while to help clean the dishwasher out (but ours is 20 years old and still spotless since we have a water softener).
Edit: a salt tank in a dishwasher?? We don’t have that in our American dishwashers that I know of, never seen one anyway. Usually the salt tank is next to the homes water heater to soften all the water in the home.
To be fair though I would not put your crocs or anything you wont eat off of in your dishwasher.. like don’t cook lasagna in it like that one lady did
13:40 the little beads is a built in water softener to your dishwasher. We have these in American homes for water softeners in our basements.
The beads are used to get all the iron and other stuff out of the water to soften it up, while the salt is what’s used to recharge the beads and make them useful again once they get saturated by the water and ions (iirc), so it looks like this dishwasher has a softener built in! Something I have never seen before in my 38 years of life while living in America, but would be pretty handy if you lived in an apartment with no water softener.
The salt itself won’t soften the water, you need to have those beads also.
Most of the washing in the Dishwashers is done by the chemicals in the soap tablets, and the rinse fluid…. The rest is just a judicious use of cold water, hot water running at different times
Now that I know what happens inside a dishwasher I no longer would wish for X-ray vision. I always wanted to know what goes on when the fridge light is off or the dishwasher is running. Another mystery of life solved! Now if I had a wish it would be to shrink down to an ant size and explore their complex ant hill society. Who knows, maybe I can be the king ant! Their ability to march perfectly in a straight line is a true wonder of the natural world. Where do they march back to??? -Lenny
Okay, so when you wash the dishes by hand you should turn off the tap when you use the sponge. This washing method was a pure wasting of water. Maybe it's just a poor people thing and this is why we did it like that all the time.
The greatest con ever performed is selling salt in soft water areas. I repair appliances for a Repair Café and if it can, it goes in the dishwasher, with electrical parts removed, particularly vacuum cleaners, as they are the dirtiest. As for the vacuum hose, put it in a tub with warm water and some detergent, moving it from time to time to get the dirt soaked. Once you see a lot of dirt coming out take it outside and stick the garden hose in it and flush it, done.
This is the perfect video to show whats happening inside BUT i hate the voice. I dont know why. Im not native and have a strong accent myself, but something about the voice drives me crazy.
Thank you very much sir for this vidéo i always wonderd how it uses that cleaning tablet!!??and now because of you i had a answer for my question, god bless you

Build one?
Sears had a clear model running for 25 years on Long Island. We grew up watching it while Mom checked out.

I searched for this and wow…
Just wondering why do people use dishwashers in households? Is it just a flex or people can't be bothered to rinse, scrub and rinse again?
The interesting part starts at 8:45.
Very informative and impressive video. Keep up the great work!
Some turd has reuploaded your video, even has the exact same title, unfortunately can't report it.

Mr. Chekhov, this is Captain Kirk speaking. How is your dishwasher maintenance going? )
I didn't search for this, but I was enthralled.

*Dishwasher warranty expired*
why do you talk like that?

Deserve a sub. well done guys
Isn't rinse bad for health??? It's used in the last stage, so it's not fully washed out, remainings of rinse stay on the dishes.
Nice video but do not keep the tap running whlie sponging. Everybody knows that. It's not a fair comparison.
where is the heating element in this case?
why there is a heat exchanger and another heater in the pump?
This is the perfect video to show whats happening inside BUT i hate the voice. I dont know why. Im not native and have a strong accent myself, but something about the voice drives me crazy.
You are loser i wash for 50 min 45 min on 60°C hehehe
Инструкция была на украинском языке. Ты это снимаешь на Украине? Или в какой стране?
Видос неплохой получился.
"it's not what you sink" well…
Did this model have a residue reservoir or where do all the more solid residues go?
Great demonstration thanks. Too many replies to search through, but you didn't factor in the cost of the dishwasher tablet vs dish liquid (hand wash)?
best video ever
Now I know what is happening in my machine right now. :p
You, my friend, are a life saver with the trick at the end. Now my large plates fit as intented in the dishwasher in my new appartment!
Can’t stand the voice.
