Obviously because the rights to the books are still with the Tolkien estate no movies will be made anytime soon. However for a bit of fun I’ve created a series of trailers for this franchise.

Is this legitimate? If so, leave the woke crap out of Tolkien’s mythology. His children and grandchildren should be ashamed for allowing Rings of Power to be made. Please, if you must do this, do it respectfully of the author’s vision. It needs no “updating” or virtue signaling. And Ungoliant better be truly terrifying!

I really like the colors! I always imagined Beleriand to have this greenish/blueish/foggish hue.
The music sounds good, I just hope this won't be in the footsteps of The Hobbit or even worse, if that's possible, the series.
I read the title and I know it said The Silmarillion, but for some unknown reason I expected to see The Mandalorian show up in the trailer. How is that even possible?

Such a good book.
Great book but a difficult one. It was like reading scriptures.
The hardest book to make into a movie also it’s not a very uplifting book filled with tragedy.. just don’t make it a woke movie..

It would be nice if Peter Jackson made more LOTR movies so we can get a back story of how the rings came to be and the corruption they bestowed upon the 9 kings, then the war leading up to the Hobbit franchise.
Anyone who has read The Silmararillion knows that it most likely will never be adapted as a movie. It’s like reading the Bible.
With today's tech it's absolutely possible to make this story into movies but…With todays political correctness and greedynes of the industry it's absolutely impossible to make it the right way.

The Silmarillion is really very difficult to be adopted for the big screen. Maybe a TV series, GoT style, with 5 – 6 seasons, with 10 – 12 hourly episodes per season, so 55 – 65 hours of screentime, but this is still difficult, because the Silmarillion isn't one story, it'll be very difficult for the Writers to manage and connect everything to keep the interest high. And don't forget that the Silmarillion is quite dark, don't expect LoR and Hobbit happy endings etc.

When the rights do become available I think a grand way to present stories from the creation thru the First Age would be use storytelling in a "Hall of Fire" type setting which would set the stage for various flashbacks. Tolkien's "Lost Tales" the early writings about the Elves were framed in this manner, It's nothing new but I prefer the shorter episodes (to gruelingly long feature films)

I hope they do proper justice with the screenplay, script, cast and dialogues!! Lord of the Rings was but a casket. This – The Silmarillion – is practically the treasure hoard.. It has the potential to be a much bigger series than all the MCU movies put together..

Я очень любил читать книги Хоббита и Властелин Колец,но когда я прочитал впоследствии тонкую книжечку Силмаррилион то передо мной открылся такой огромный мир,что не верилось что это всё могло быть придумано одним человеком .
