There are some phenomenal smartphones on the market with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL, Apple’s latest iPhone 16 series including the coveted 16 Pro Max. Oppo, Honor, Xiaomi, and Vivo have chimed in with some great devices, but this is why I think the plucky underdog is the best phone you can buy. This is my long-term OnePlus 12 review.

5:05 you should enable xmp in your bios becuse those are 100% not advertised ram speeds
I think nowadays people are more into compact size phones. They should make a phone that should be under 6.3 inch as iPhones 16, samsung S24 and pixel 9A.
Brother i have question. Im a iPhone user but i wanted to switch to android. I bought a samsung tan but i noticed that video and audio on for example yotube are Not Sync 100% do you have any issues like this with the one plus?
Only thing it is missing is an SD card holder
Hardly the best but one plus is good
The S24 Altra is the best phone I've ever own, I'm not looking for 100.000 likes if I were I could say any phone is best.
LMAO chinese crap spying machine
USF storage 4.0 – (What does the Pixel 9 Pro have?)
OS is a bummer!
Am still carrying Oneplus 9pro and still runs super fast. Waiting for Oneplus 13.
Im so Happy, that oneplus ist back on track again! 🙂
My last two Smartphones where the 6t and 9pro and now i have the 12r since a week and i absolutely love it!!❤❤❤
Its only weakness and worst "reviewer only feature" is the curved screen that would shatter if i fart too hard
Green line of death
what about green line issue in one plus phones
Never used a OnePlus phone before. Just wanted to know if Nova launcher works without any gesture issues. Redmi phones don't support gestures with Nova launcher.
Have you used Honor Magic 6 Pro? I'm thinking rn between these 2 phones
Oneplus 12 is 850 pounds
What is your opinion on the xiaomi 14 base model then?
Oneplus feels like the htc of the modern android era
How about green lines?
I have had a terrible experience using Oneplus phones, my last Oneplus phone was a 6T and there was so much wrong with that phone i don't think i would ever go back to Oneplus anytime soon but it's good to see that they are doing well and maybe one day i can try them out again
Color os destroy it
After Oxygenos15 I'm convinced this is literally the one to pick
curved screens are big no-no.
Only 4 years of Android system updates. 5 years on the security and system patches. Not sure if they are monthly quarterly or biannual. Samsung starts with monthly and after 2 or 3 years it switches without warming to quarterly then biannual
I don't get why more ppl don't make smaller pro phones it's annoying af. Apple and Google does it right
OnePlus Nord 4.
with free green lines
It’s a shame, my last Oneplus (7pro) was such a bad experience that I swore I’d never get another.
Wallpaper?
I think the Oppo Find X8 Pro will blow people away, thoughts?
1:14 joined your family❤️
Used my Oneplus 7T Pro over the last 4.5 years and loved the phone
ccp phone ? no thanks
your videos are quite high quality, a shot of energy would make wonders in capturing more audience
Can you put more ads in the beginning?
OnePlus sucks. They don't care about their customers
Samsung S23 is the ultimate phone in my opinion
OnePlus Design is too ugly
Green lines entered the chat
It's literally $700+ and you call it bang for bucks? How about something $250-$300?
I Wisch there was a Phone without a Camerabump, one lense with mechanical Zoom that Drives Out when used.
gigantic phone just fuck it
No ip rating
Curvy screen
No auto focus front camera
Personally torn between the 12 and the open.
I love iPhone. And otherwise would not walk away, but I will not do without a sim tray and apple took that away from USA customers. The rest of the planet still has sim trays tho.
OnePlus is very is like and still gives the sim tray, so I'm buying OP phones now.
So. I have the 12. And the 13 is not worth the upgrade. I love the 12, the 11 and the 10 Pro and everything in-between, but the 13 is a S update in apple terms.
If you are 5 OP releases behind the 13 is an appropriate update. But not, otherwise.
If you have a OP11 or a OP12 do not update. Your throwing your money away if you do.
I really like OP. It is the only default iOS like ui in Android that I like. And if I thought it was worth buying. I'd say. But the 13 is not.
Don’t care for pixel phones. And if you plan on taking any phone in to a pool. Get a zip lock back.
One thing I have noticed. I have a variety of OP phones and even the least expensive model works as well for me as the OP12. So obviously I’m not a power user. But my experience with Oxygen OS and the different models seems to be about the same. The only notable difference is. On the less expensive models you need to allow a little bit more time for the phone to fully boot up from the off position. But once fully booted. I have zero problems.
Fingerprint scanner.
On every one of my OPs that has them, is carp. Works properly less than 40% of the time. Face ID works well enough if the camera has enough light to see my face. Not the same system apple uses. Apple devices with Face ID can accurately identify you in a pitch black room.
I was going to get the 13, but the 13 isn’t worth buying if you have a 11 or 12.
And if OP follows current course, the 14 won’t be worth buying either. I like the OP devices I have, mostly.
But the 13 is a huge disappointment. I was looking forward to something like a single screen Open.
In the 6.8 to 6.9 inch screen size. What they released is a partial upgrade.
Sick of all the AI stuff.
Yup. AI is hype. It’s a real thing for sure. But I honestly don’t think all these companies have a grasp of AI to either make it worthwhile or safe. And they are pushing it out to be bling. Not because they have a product worth having.
install the oppo firware as the oneplus we know is dead only rebranded oppo phones but still some think oneplus invented the open ect , its a swindle
@Ryan-Thomas Yes is the best but i sold it. My carrier doesn't support volte on one plus only samsung and iphone. So I returned to my s23 ultra but op12 is better . Volte is important technology , isn't it?
Waiting for you to review OnePlus 13.
I'm thinking whether to buy this or the 13 after a few weeks
R U MAD?
Have they fixed the lag/delay when switching between tabs?
I really want one, but in my country, believe or not, the S24 Ultra is cheaper. OP12 is $1,045 while the S24U is $990. That's why I'm going for Samsung, but if I could get the OP12 for $800 I'd buy it in a heart beat.
The problem is the phone is HUGE! They need a smaller option somewhere the size of a iPhone 16pro. That’s literally the only reason I stay with iPhone is because every single android phone maker that matters refuses to make a smaller phone like iPhone does. It’s just dumb
I will never buy a phone with such a camera bulk. But that's just me it seems.
I want a 6.5 oneplus
Those cameras turn me off so much
Until they get their 5g issues with carriers sorted out oneplus can kick rocks
Can't wait for the O+ 13
Not yet.. not if Vivo is 2 generations ahead in camera..
The 12R is the best value for money phone on the market and its not close. The 12 is the flagship killer but its mid to high budget at around 800$.
As phones are evolving the "urge to change" is also in decline (thankfully). But many companies fail to understand the importance of software support, e.g. Asus and Sony. I have a ZF 9 on my desk, still rocking (heck even beats the Tensor G4 powered Pixel 9) but Asus with ZF 9 only commited to 2 /2 years of OS and Security patches. So I have a phone which is perfect in size (5.9"), has a great display, great battery life, photos with gcam are okay and a headphone jack with Snapdragon DAC, but because Asus was intentionally greedy the phone is out of support since this July. To make things worse they also removed the bootloader unlocking option (which was available as a downloadable tool).
And sony is not better either. They do somewhat better than Asus, but having the same crappy software support doesnt help their case.
I like this OP 12 and while I would never buy one (too big for a "phone") I do admit that technologically its amazing. I hope it will serve you well 🙂
Thanks for the review, does anyone do this in the UK on contract ?
We'll talk more about it once the warranty expires 🙂 not only oneplus but all today s brands make the phones to be reliable for 2 years… Oneplus included, i had 8t, once the warranty was expired the charging was not working properly, not at the same speeds(yes i use the original charger) and the quality of the phone lacks in time.
Which one better one plus 10 pro or pixel 7a ?
"Daylight robbery" – I love it.
no headphone jack, no deal
Curved sides are shit.
Everything about this device seems to be great except that camera module appearance on the back side of the phone. Why is it so weirdly looking as if some vintage radio from 50s
Mine would never send me email notifications no matter what I did. So I sold it.
OnePlus is the best android phone in almost every area for the money it offers.
URL for OnePlus is broken 🙁
You look very similar to the actor who played Biff in Emmerdale Farm. Is he your brother or something?
Can you do Vivo X200 Pro?
jokes on you it's even actual AI yet how is the heat when playing games and when charging btw? does it throttle a little?
i actualy ordered one yesterday and now i see your video some strange things happening here
Is it slippery?
what is the name of the game he's playing at #00:10 ??
I am still using an s21 ultra that been working since 2021… and stills like new….
Just now subscribed
What is the name of the wallpaper of your phone.
Thank you.
I am a Samsung fan and my first smart phone was a Galaxy series back in 2013. When they decided to stop providing charger, is the day I stopped purchasing Sasmsung phones. As a phone manufactuer if you are not going to sell a device that enables to charge the phone in the box. You don't deserve the customer's money. Shame on all the mobile manufactuers that follow the trend of "Apple"
It's just a shame OnePlus is going through all the issues with their dead motherboard problems and the green line saga. I just wish OnePlus becomes stable again and release new phones with great enthusiasm and excitement.
2:00 Yes! Cheeky dig on an iPhone user. Love to see it.
I loved my Oneplus 6 and I used to love my Oneplus 10 Pro but last week it got two green lines on the screen for no reason, after doing some research it seems that this is not uncommon, so I think I am going to switch to a pixel
Isn't the new os full of ai features?
'cant decide between 4 phones…xiaomi 14t or oneplus 12r and 14t pro or onleplus 12…i was after a better phone for photos then my old dead f2 pro so i can get some good register of my life before i die but i dont want to sell a kidney and repent xD someone knows what the better choice? 14t and 14t pro are to diferent in cameras to justify price diferences?
I order the OnePlus 12 and I’m excited. I’m like you and I don’t care about the AI stuff which I heard this phone is not big on
The hasselblad colours are really something one must experience to appreciate it.. i cannot switch to anything else now lol
I'm still using my one+8pro and it's still a great phone, the curved screen is irrelevant to me as I have a full leather cover and armored screen cover on all of my phones, the battery is still good the screen is still good and the phone still runs like new for an almost 5year old phone that's impressive but more impressive is the fact that it still competes with all the latest smartphones in almost every way so much so that I don't see enough reason to shell out the extra money to change for the smallest upgrades as yet. Phone companies no matter who they are need to really step up their game with the next models to catch my attention
One plus makes good sturdy reliable phones for a better price than anyone, Apple way overpriced for everything just for someone who likes to have a must have image, Samsung make decent phones but they want to control everything rather than let thd user do things how they like, never had a Google phone I'll check them out but I will most likely stick with one + for the future
wait until the OnePlus 13 comes out!! improved display, cameras, CPU, much better GPU, but the most important improvement is the battery, 6000 mAh Si/C Battery!! if you don't know do some research, Si/C batteries are the new technology that is said to be much better than Li-ion, which was much better than Li-po that is used on the OnePlus 12!!
The only reason I don't recommend oneplus is the green line issue and their support. up until 7 pro it was truly a goat
Do you think it will be long until the Americans ban Xiami from the USA?
The same charges pressed against Huawei could easily be tailor fitted to suit Xiaomi, right?
Or, is Apple going to tolerate a competition this time?
Clocks video, sees curved screen, moves on…
