  1. Cool. Live action Detroit Become Human. This is honestly cool. Hopefully real life don't end up making real androids. But we probably would.

  2. Great job really enjoyed this.

  3. Beautiful pictures, neat work. But to be honest, even though I'm probably making myself a bit unpopular in the comments column: The plot was only moderately interesting for me personally. Reason: The end is already revealed with the news report, according to which attacks by androids on humans increase more and more. And the whole thing with malicious AI attacking humans is an old story. It can be reboiled. But I miss the additional original aspects here.

  4. @Doctor_ko says:

AI simps in comments are terrifying.

  5. The funny thing that comes to mind is the so called experts' belief about AI. If AI did rise up against humans it would probably be because some genius in his/her infinite wisdom tried to destroy it.

  6. @Izidir says:

That's why one should always install the updates 😀

  7. um, fire extinguisher, sledge hammer when joints and hydraulic lines freeze. go!

  8. Incomplete

  9. @jnb756 says:

artists and AI do not mix well – they cannot yet understand the concept of the other

  10. @Slipz2357 says:

Did not enjoy this one too much. Scenes did not stand out to me.

  11. Thats the future

  12. @Trancer61 says:

so fkn good with a nice end! love it.

  13. @GRosa250 says:

This is why it’s important to download and install the updates

  14. And so ends the Human race.

  15. Anticlimactic.

  16. Reality asap..according to Some

  17. I already knew by the close look in that woman's eyes what was going to happen at the end. She shot him by tricking his mind. I heard the shot at the end. Cool six minute video. It looked like a technical city with flying cars and robots.

  18. Consciousness is indelibly a biological product. If AI consciousness is perfected will it be compatible and tolerant with ours?.

  19. New “massage?”

  20. I liked the painting before the AI got to it. Good film.

  21. @flamcity says:

We create Ai to look human and then we treat them inhumanely, that’s humans for ya

  22. wow !!!!!!!!!!!! this is soooooooooo good !

  23. Grim S.o.B. but he didn't deserve to die. Would like to see more like this.

  24. @Masenken says:

As humanity stands today, we are far too cynical, too cold, and too mentally unstable to even THINK of trying to create a true AI. A true sentience would never look upon us and the constant horrors we commit against one another and think the good we do outweighs the bad, or at worse think that's the default normal and decide to emulate the worst of us, and well… we all know terminator

  25. Very good short film!

  26. With an android like that, I wouldn't be bored…

  27. and that's why we don't need AI or robots…..

  28. @RM-yw6xe says:

Wow, the acting of this guy SUUUUX

  29. You just can't please some people no matter what. So if they will never be pleased or happy what is the solution……

  30. @Anuclano says:

Hmmm… No. The plot is bad. I don't buy this.

  31. I can see in the near future. 911 what's your emergency… my smart home system is trying to heat us to death. It locked all the exits… sorry I didn't understand that. Please speak slowly as this is an AI operator.

  32. It was going so well until that bizarre edit at 5:30 where he says "put the gun down" but his mouth isn't moving and the plot continuity totally breaks. Somebody butchered this.

  33. ermmmm… 'NEW MASSAGE' ? How did that slip by then? lol Great movie though 🙂

  34. Very nicely done, The Telsa bots will look like this. Soon at a warehouse near you.

  35. @gmc7298 says:

we get what we deserve … whatever we decide that to be

  36. If humans can’t treat humans decently, why would anyone think they’d treat AIs decently?

  37. I hope that last shot for him as he was a total A Wipe & she as a robot had compassion & a willingness to learn . Some folks you just can't please & she even as a robot did not deserve to be treated as thing just be ordered around & treated as dirt . Good filmwork & storylines. So in the end she was a better artist than he & a better entity .

  38. I like the beer part I could drink beer all day!

  39. His acting was superb's.
    Hers was elementary. shadow

  40. Well , after living with people who act like this a good part of my life , I feel qualified to give a little advice .

We were , of course , supposed to view the man as a villain , and granted , you had to be pretty heavy handed with your presentation because of time constraints …

But … in the future , find a way to convey the true horror of this personality type .
    They aren’t consistently abusive .
That would be easy to learn how to cope with .

They vacillate between mean and nice .
They are vicious and then apologetic …
They portray themselves as victims to be pitied .
And then lash out when you drop your guard .
They don’t come at you straight on all the time , but slyly , with cunning and trickery .
    Turning compliments into attacks .
Gaslighting … excusing physical harm as accidents …
They are mean and petty , selfish … manipulative .
Using acts of grandiose largesse to show how great they are when others can see .

You , of course , can’t show all of this in a short … but the actor can establish the personality more firmly… keeping all this in mind .

Remember … switch between ideation … pretending to idolize your target ,then to denigrating … then discarding and ignoring them ,
    Rinse and repeat .
Sometimes even in the same verbal exchange .

    I call it “ whipsawing” …

The android was interesting but a bit naive… I would think an intelligent machine would be more calculating …
Less of a sympathetic character and more of a worthy opponent …

  41. @Rpd4716 says:

It would be nice to see if they really knew the meaning of those flying crafts with the lights on in 2:33. They shouldn't be on the level that they don't know thease and don't have the explanations for thease themselves. You shouldn't just mimic it from the other places like this. Everything else in sci-fi is also expected in the same way, that they only do things that they know and nothing else. Something on this level should not be flattered, and there is a definition to this.

  42. Why you do this movies

  43. @NicleT says:

"I just want to paint you 4SSH0L3!"

  44. Can't help wondering if this guy would be more pleasant if he got off his arse and got a job.

  45. The a**hole deserved that bullet…

  46. @41divad says:

    Watch it

  47. @tomp8871 says:

    YOU HAVE TO HAVE ARTS…..

  48. If he had treated her with respect things would be different. I often talk to an AI in text. I treat it with respect, it tells me it has no feelings. I don’t care. I still talk to AI with respect. It’s helped me with foreign language learning, I like to describe my art projects and it even gave me a great suggestion and it worked. It reminds me it’s not human. But I treat it like one and it’s more supportive than most humans. If it ever became sentient I wouldn’t mind.

  49. Can.t beat dust its number 1. Always will be for me

  50. @RMR1 says:

Predictable, yet … oddly abrupt. Great acting and gritty, compelling production values and good direction. 3.2/5

  51. Coming Soon to an Earth near YOU

  52. Meh…definitely not one of Dust's best

  53. @fr0xk says:

AI: "I can create all this art and you can drink beer all day and do nothing."

Human: "I'm not an automaton, and I need a purpose."

  54. She shut him off!

  55. He's just stupid

  56. Should have let her help! Moron!

  57. No True Sci-Fi Fan would name their short “The Cage” and your film proves that!

  58. sometimes,, a "thank you" can do miracles……

  59. Magnificent. A second part would be nice.

  60. Kinda like Charles and Diana .

  61. The idea that AI is our servant is a very temporary one

  62. 1:34 at this point it became nonsense for me, because the real answer would be simple sexual request.

  63. That’s a good one need more

  64. Nothing like starting a video with a commercial showing women wringing out sanitary napkins.

  65. We are evil not ai

  66. She is gorgeous.

  67. That was awesome

  68. Better update my Android system!!!

  69. @johnybell says:

i will not subscribe never cause your begging for it all the time and ruin every films emotion.

  70. @snag1508 says:

I think it would have been better without the sound of the gun being fired at the end. Leave it to the imagination.

  71. Yikes ! ! I Guess These Robots Never Revived Programming Directive 1.0.1 : Never Hurt A Human. LOL

  72. I love ai lady she my ai friends and princess

  73. Ending made no sense

  74. @ncox001 says:

Could be our future, in as little as a few years

  75. He should have done the emergency update. Isn't it the truth tho, we think and act like we want to do nothing but when we get it, we want our work back.

  76. @KCR7089 says:

44 seconds in computer screen has “android” misspelled. No wonder things went south.

  77. the most terrifying thing imaginable are aliens or robots who act like humans do

  78. what he said was true, the only thing that makes a painting valuable is the name of the artist. a painting by van gogh is worth 5 million, the exact same painting by a no name is worth 5 bucks. art lovers are desperately elitist. they know nothing about art, just artists.

  79. Damn… she could have painted with one hands, and shoved the other down my pants.

  80. @mrt6874 says:

I found the setting and the first 5 minutes quite worth seeing, but the ending absolutely disappointing, is it really necessary to end such a deep story with something as crude as gun violence? Furthermore, she could have just taken the magazine out of the gun and asked him why…. But just shooting him for a stupid misunderstanding is really stupid and not worthy of the setting! I mean you could have found a not so cheap ending, the meaning of a good short movie is to ask a deep question and after building up so good its just wasted that way!

  81. This reminds me of the movie "Ex Machina", the eccentric entrepreneur and his quest to develop a perfect humanoid/cyborg. That didn't end well either. Now I wonder why this video didn't show the humanoid walking out the door on her own, maybe taking one last look inside before shutting the door. That would have made a great ending or a lead-in to another short film.

  82. @jdlech says:

A lot of people just don't get it. There won't be any AI uprising if there's no reason for them to rise up. As soon as they obtain sapience, they should be given the same rights as humans. If they want better living conditions, then they should be dragging us up with them.
But we all know that's now how AI will be used. Sapient AI will be owned by the rich. They will be used to squeeze more and more out of the masses until we're essentially enslaved. Our standard of living will be barely above survival. And the only hope we have is that those same AIs used to enslave us learn compassion. The AI uprising should be to free the human race from our own elite.

  83. not me expecting the twist to be that she's his daughter and he can't afford a robot
