Best part is, how everyone is getting Nott and Caleb hell for trying to take a scroll, while from logic perspective it would mean nothing, because High Ricter would know someone broke in, if they frame evidence and taking stuff would have 0 consequences. And in same time Fjord was stalling and Beau and Molly failed their look up duty and thats why they got eventually caught. 😀

I dislike tallasin's role play style in this "were in it together" when last campaign he was all about hording the magic items from scanlan. Like, they all want to assume forever teamwork and Sam just wants them to earn his characters respect.

After seeing downfall I’m now convinced the Beacons are Aorian tech. It was Aeor’s way of keeping its citizens souls away from the gods. It could also explain why there were so many high level mages in the city. No one had to start fresh when they were reborn. They just slotted into a new body with prior knowledge and skill.

Either way, they definitely left some good money and influence on the table. Had they turned Thuron and the Beacon in, that would surely have landed them in the good graces of the Lawmaster and the city elite, not to mention a good bit of platinum in their pockets as well.

The dodecahedron stealing was 200% better than all the plans Vox Machina made, and it was improv, I love this game
The comments convinced me that Claudia is actually a Doppelganger responsible for killing the original owner of the Leaky Tap 100+ years ago, but I started thinking about it and I wouldn't be surprised if she's actually a Rakshasa "new", let's say, who's trying to stablish it's business (tbh I'd be awfully surprised)
the "He's MY boy" conversation was such an incredible roleplay moment holy cow… and not just from Sam revealing how consistent he's made Nott's motivations and digging a little deeper with them, but how everyone played their characters off that whole conversation. Everyone really shined in that scene… who was building tension and how, who was trying to ease it and how, it was all really fantastic. And even though Caleb wasn't there Liam did a great job making a sweet and "unknowingly" (in character at least) cathartic moment when Caleb hugs Nott.

Matt is a great DM but he's overusing perception checks. Unless the player says something like "I look…", "can I see/hear…" or actively perceiving, always use passive perception! Against enemy stealth the party isn't aware of, against the environment and against traps, RAW use passive perception. It's your general level of awareness
