This video doesn’t actually cover “how” to get a reservation … kinda misleading don’t ya think ?
There is no local-only-evening-reservation-rule.
OAKTOBERFEST ln Munich wonderful Thank you Germny
1:40 You will not compete with "half a million" to get a seat, it is a family fest and 1/3 do not even drink beer and another third do not like the noisy tents. Also, the average time spent in a tent is about 4 hours so seats are often occupied 2-5 times a day by different guests … 2:05 The doors are closed when the tents are full to (secure) capacity. After that, an amount of people are always let in, that equals the amount leaving, a steady but slow flow. The longest I have waited was 30 minutes! After 150+ visits I have never reserved and sometimes we were up to 5 friends getting in. If you are in a group, first find a place at tables near each other, then consolidate as other people leave.
See You in Octoberfest 2021! Stay safe everyone, keep wearing your face
masks, wash your hands frequently and stay apart to stop the spread of
Covid-19. Take care!
