GHB can make you happy and horny with no comedown but a millilitre too much can put you in a coma, or be fatal. And whilst you’re more likely to have heard about GHB in the context of the chemsex scene, or its abuse as a date rape drug, there’s a lack of reporting about its prevalence in the dance music scene.
We went out to investigate just how widespread GHB abuse has become, and what we uncovered is alarming. A hidden G epidemic has been spreading through raves and clubs across Europe, leaving a trail of death in its wake.
In this special episode from a new series of High Society, we meet Holland’s hardcore fanatics, we travel to Ibiza to see how far the drug has seeped into regular party life, and the Scottish DJ Jackmaster speaks openly about his GHB addiction, for the first time since he was accused of sexually harassing festival staff at a British festival in 2018.

Vice is an online weed peddling website, on one hand it supports and even encourages consumption of harmful drug like marijuana, on the other hand it propagates harmful effects of other drugs that are out there, there is high probability that its founders have invested a large amount of their capital in weed marketing companies, I want to see one video from vice in which it is telling the devastating effects of weed on cardiovascular health of a person
Thid drug has killed many of my friends. I survived several overdosages thankfully. So thankful I am living a clean life now , but it was such a horribly painful route.

Quite alarmist. A 2006 report commissioned by a UK parliamentary committee found the use of GHB to be less dangerous than tobacco and alcohol in physical harm, dependence and social harms.
Vice should get a HQ in the Netherlands for their drug documentaries.
check if they are breathing , then make a fist and rub it with pressure over the sternum while your on the phone with 911 as the effects come and go and its hard to stimulate them and if they vomit they may asperate so put them on their side in recovery but always get medical attention when worrying somnolence occurs . G is very dangerous
GhB is not what u say back i mid 80s it was sold in health shop .body builders used it for relaxation at moderate dose.drugs r not meantfor everyone

I'm so glad I was a rock and roller. My heavy partying days were during the mid 90's until 2000. All we ever messed with was booze and weed. Had I liked this type of music I would probably have ended up using this drug because I LOVED to party. There really is a genre of music that goes with drugs of choice.

I know this dude who forgot he took some juice, and he took another dose, and he drove his truck.. moron fell asleep at a red light, got arrested with all kinds of drugs on him. Not gonna lie, i used to love the stuff, me and my ex gf, we used to buy it by the L, put it in the fridge and we used to party on it non stop, the girl had the entire neighborhood messing with the stuff. Eventually i got pretty addicted, which, we had no clue you could even get addicted to it.. This was years ago, these days i wouldn't go near the stuff, besides, if you get arrested with it you're really screwed.

I had 2 friends who made G themselves (one of them has masters in chemistry nowadays). They took it to a festival. Everything was going okay until they took a little too much. The medical team barely saved them, one of them died but was brought back. Be careful with drugs especially with G since it's sooo easy to OD from it.

We discovered GHB in 1996, made 2 kg and took it with around 50 people. We encountered NO problems at all. Basic rule which I told every single one of them more than 2 times: NEVER COMBINE GHB WITH ANY DRUG other than THC or nictotine. Especially alcohol and opiates are extremely dangerous when combined with GHB. People in this video show exactly how you shouldn´t do it. Second rule: be carefull when testing out your dose. Everbody reacts different to GHB and while 3 gram maybe enough for person a, 1 gram of GHB maybe deadly to another persons. Third rule: do not take GBL. I don´t know why but it seems to be more addictive and less predictable. Anyway, I can´t understand why they are talking about "milileters". Maybe, becaus they are talking about GBL? When producing GHB you know exactly how many grams of active ingredient are in there. And talking in grams of GHB is much more reliable.
I take GHB daily for more than 5 years in the 2000, all my friends did it and i dont know no one that dies because of G, with this i dont say that is not dangerous but everything depends of the context.
As someone who was addicted to GBL for years it's having it around you all the time that's the issue. The high does stop and the magic dies and you use it to numb everything around you. When i stopped I swapped to benzos but eventually stopped them. It's a 24/7 dosing habit.

Listen, I call bullsh*t. Too G much will absolutely put you in a come-like state, therefore for its reputation of being the 'day rape drug'. However, no, you don't just die from an overdose. It's a mixture of other drugs. Dying from actual withdrawal symptoms is way way higher, and even then you'll have to be up to like 6 ml /2-3 hours… for years.. Obviously never mix it with the other downers such as alcohol or benzodiazepines. It's like saying too much amphetamine will kill you, which is simply untrue. Stop pushing this ignorant narrative.

It’s always safer not to do G, but if you are, here are the basic things to know:
NEVER DO with alcohol, benzos, ketamine or opioids. They are all respiratory depressants – together they will cause you to stop breathing
Always set a timer for at least 1 hour after taking a dose. Always wait until the timer ends before redosing
Know that doing stimulants with G can mask the effects of both some of which may be adverse effects that could lead to injury
Measure out your own dose using a preferably a 1ml syringe. If you haven’t done the batch before, start with 0.3-0.5ml for the first time – go low and go slow. If you choose to increase the dose on your second round, do so in 0.2ml increments or less. Once you get a feel for what your tolerance is you will be able to judge your dosage better. Remember that every batch of g can be of different purity so always start with a low dose, of at least half your usual amount.
If you have a bottle of G, good practise is to dye it using food colouring so that it becomes harder to inconspicuously put in clear or light coloured alcohols. It also means if you pick up what you think is an empty glass with a bit of water or alcohol at the bottom you won’t accidentally drug yourself.
Avoid doing G continuously for long periods of time. You will develop a tolerance for it after a week, requiring larger doses, (this tolerance goes away after a week of no use, so don’t rely on what you had been dosing yourself with if you do take a break after developing a tolerance – start from the beginning again.) furthermore, you can get really bad withdrawal symptoms, chronic withdrawal can be serious, so talk to a medical professional if you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms or contact a local addiction centre where you can be supported to taper it down.
Finally if you are letting someone who hasn’t done G before do it, educate them about it first and look out for them
If someone is unconscious and not rousable you need to call for an ambulance. Always place them in recovery position, they may spasm and yell nonsensically, it’s a common going under sign for G.
-do not give any water or fluids
-Look for the rise fall action of the chest to ensure they are breathing,
-listen for breath sounds,
-ensure lips or peripheries don’t go blue.
G has a short period of action, so you should see improvement of the person within half an hour to an hour, if not that is a major concern – in any case do not wait that long to get medical assistance.
Never leave a person who is going under from G alone, aside from their need to be monitored for breathing and their risk of respiratory arrest, they are also incredibly vulnerable to being taken advantage of.
